ACCB Opens Amphitheater
Armadale City Concert Band gave the first performance to open the new amphitheatre in Orchard Road Armadale.  Magnificent balmy weather made for very enjoyable circumstances for the appreciative audience.  A crowd of nearly 200 on rugs and chairs enjoyed a ninety minute performance of entertainment music.
Music played included premiere performances of the theme from "Mission Impossible", "The Pink Panther" with baritone Sax solo work by Rory Marchant and Michael Jackson's "Thriller".  The audience clapped along to "The Liberty Bell" march which was ably conducted by guest conductors James (8), Bethany (7) , Matthew (6) and grandfather Wilf (much more than six).  Also on the programme was a selection from "Pirates of the Caribbean - Dead Man's Chest".  The concert opened with "Chicago - that toddlin' town" and finished with "And all that Jazz" from the musical "Chicago.  The audience demanded an encore and the band obliged with Michael Buble's "Sway".
