The band's major sponsors are The City of Armadale and the Lotterywest Grants Commission. They have provided significant funding allowing the band to purchase material including musical instruments, lighting, sheet music, uniforms and other equipment, since the band's inception in 1987. As part of the partnership the band has with the City of Armadale it undertakes to play at several free-to-the-public events around Armadale throughout the year. These commonly include the annual Highland Games, Carols by Candlelight, Minnawarra Festival and Bike Race.

The City of Armadale

In 1985 Armadale was granted City status, coinciding with the opening of the City Administration Centre. The Armadale City business precinct underwent considerable change through unprecedented building activity.

At Kelmscott the commercial and business area along Albany Highway had also changed dramatically.

Despite these changes to the built environment there was a growing consciousness of the need to appreciate and preserve the past. The name 'Heritage Country' was registered and there was also increased focus on the natural environment. One of the most significant achievements was the preservation and rejuvenation of Araluen Park in Roleystone, which draws thousands of Western Australians every year.

Lotterywest

Established in 1933 as the Lotteries Commission, Lotterywest are the official state lottery for Western Australia. Unlike any other Australian lottery, they not only sell lottery games, they distribute the profits from our games directly to the Western Australian community.

Through a statewide network of Lotterywest retailers they sell Lotto style games (Saturday, Monday, and Wednesday Lotto, Oz Lotto and Powerball), Scratch’n’Win instant lottery tickets, Soccer Pools and Cash 3.

All the profits from the games go back to the Western Australian community. Under legislation, Western Australia’s public hospitals, sports groups and arts organisations receive a set percentage of lottery sales each year. They also make hundreds of Lotterywest grants each year to community groups and local government authorities.
